How do you care for an indoor cyclamen?

- Cyclamen plants should be kept in a brightly lit place but not in direct sun.
- A cool room is ideal where the temperature is maintained at 10-16ºC (50-60ºF).
- The compost should be kept moist at all times but not over wet as this will result in the corm rotting.
- The plant will benefit from an occasional watering with a liquid fertilizer.
- Avoid water laying on the crown as this can encourage fungal diseases.
- Cyclamen like a moist atmosphere and can be stood in a saucer of gravel where the water level is maintained below the base of the pot.
- Faded flowers should be twisted and pulled away cleanly, without leaving part of the stem still attached to the corm.
