How do you care for Sundiascia plants?

Sundiascia is an excellent choice for baskets, containers and borders. The flowers are produced over a long period from June to October. The plant will grow to a height of 45-60cm (18-24″) depending on the variety, with a spread approximately 30-45cm (12-18″).

Choose a position in full sun or partial shade and a well-drained soil. Trim back the plant after each flush of flowers to encourage further flower production. Keep the plant well watered in dry spells and feed regularly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season. The plants are hardy to -8°C (18°F) and in the colder parts of the country should be overwintered in a frost free greenhouse or conservatory. Outdoors frost will cut back the foliage but the crown will survive.
