Why are the leaves rolling upwards on my tomatoes?

Leaf roll on tomato plants is a common occurrence. This does not have a detrimental effect on the plant provided the leaves are healthy and there are no pests or diseases present.

The edges of the leaves rolling upwards and inwards can be the result of removing too many leaves from the plant. The most common reason is a wide variation in day and night temperatures. The plants will continue to grow and crop normally and no corrective action is needed.
